The President’s New Year Message

On behalf of the Executive Committee I would like to wish all ESPRAS members and their families a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year. The newly elected ExCo will spare no effort to improve the image of our specialty both in Europe and the whole world.  ESPRAS membership includes not only the States of the European Union, but it covers all countries from the Atlantic shores to the Urals and from the Mediterranean Sea to the North Pole. All forty seven countries belonging to the Council of Europe are eligible to be members and indeed they are, with very few exceptions.

Formidable challenges are many and important to our specialty; setting parameters of practice, protection of the specialty, quality assurance in our services to the public, as well as educational and training issues, will all be on our agenda. ESPRAS aspires to the improvement of communication and strengthening of friendship among its members. ESPRAS ExCo within its power will supports all efforts of the European Societies towards improving the image of the Specialty and in tackling all issues related to the profession.
